This work is from an eight year project documenting US Highway 61 from the mid seventies to the early eighties (1976-84). The road runs from New Orleans to Thunder Bay, Ontario, first along the Mississippi River up to St. Paul, then northeast to Duluth and up the shore of Lake Superior to Thunder Bay.
