The following portraits are for a Master’s Thesis I obtained in 2003 from University of Illinois. I was 52 years old, twice the age of the other 7 colleagues of my student peers but the age of most of the professors. This project explored men who wished to be women and how they defined themselves and women of the same age and their identity as women. Explored the question of womanhood, is it defined by makeup and clothing?
